Stayed as a family of 4 in one of the suites, there was plenty of space for all of us to be comfortable. We used the pool a lot - it's the best hotel pool I've seen with very nice spa attached. There's a golf course and driving range next door if you are into that. The staff were really helpful and friendly. They obviously get a lot of grumpy people staying because I don't recognise any of the preceding poor reviews!

Overall a lovely weekend away with my daughter, we enjoyed the Aura spa and other facilities in the hotel. Bedroom was clean and comfortable bed, powerful shower was a highlight. The only thing that let it down was not being told at reception that the restaurant was reservation only, although the dining area was mostly empty, we were denied dinner as we didn’t have a booking. Saturday night, remote location, bad weather and sadly no dinner.

Booking was for one person. No room service was available!! All restaurants/bar were fully booked. They refused to fit me in. Told me to go to the village for a meal. I ate a very gross salad from the cafe that I had to buy hours earlier. All I so badly wanted was one restful quiet night away. The staff didn’t seem to want to help me at all and the manager looked like he was 22 years old. I had to ask him to stop laughing. It’s not funny! I just wanted one night of being fead a nice meal and a rest away from my 8 month old. After all my complaints, reviews and not taking no for an answer. I received room service. I was under the impression that the manager was afraid of upsetting the chefs and lacked age and experience to care to bother. In the end the girl at reception helped me. All of this trouble and 1 star could have easily been avoided if the staff had the training to show they care.
