Court 1. Floor soaking including about 1/4 of the court which made it super slippy. Facilities poor for the price. We couldn’t safely run for the ball as it was so slippy, 3 of us slipped anyway and I’ve really injured my back and glute falling on the wet Astro due to how bad the surface was.

Played here on Saturday and Sunday morning after heavy rain. Played on Court 2 and despite it being covered the water had seeped through to the court and both service ends were sodden. It made the court like playing on ice. It was so slippery that after sliding and falling many times trying to change direction quickly it was clearly too dangerous to play properly. Ruined the match. Not sure what they can do, better drainage perhaps but will not be playing there again. Expensive and not fit for purpose.

Played a tournament recently where the manager of the club doubled the number of entrants which reduced potential play time to 30 minutes despite charging £30 to each entrant. This was done so late that we were unable to drop out of the tournament without losing money or finding a replacement through no fault of our own. I was personally ignored when I requested to drop out of the tournament and still haven't had a direct reply. The manager also added himself to the tournament and played with a very strong partner (shoutout to Connor who was a great guy!) and naturally won the tournament. What is the point in a staff member winning a monetary prize in their own tournament when they likely get free/discounted access to courts anyway? Prior to Alex's management of the event, I have had 0 issues with the club. Nil, Rhys and others have been absolutely fantastic, but as far as I am aware they are all leaving soon. Previous tournaments were a great experience and run by staff without issue. I'm not sure what the future direction of the club is, but this weekend certainly did not paint a good picture for any of the players involved. I will not be returning to the club as it's the only thing I can do, which is honestly a shame. I hope things change for the better and feedback is provided.
