I’ve been a member for the last 2 years, attending the adult classes with Martyn. He’s a great coach and my level improved significantly. It’s a great opportunity to play tennis with players matching your level once per week. Only negative bit is the fact that is very hard to find slots for outdoor playing and there is no discount for members for indoor courts booking - £30 for peak and £20 off-peak is definitely too pricey.

🌟 5‑Star Review for Nottingham Tennis Centre 🌟 I’ve loved spending time at Nottingham Tennis Centre—not just as a tennis enthusiast, but as a ball‑boy during the Nottingham Open in 2023, 2024, and again in 2025. From the first moment you walk in, the staff are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere that’s praised again and again by other visitors . The facilities are superb: with 39 courts—including indoor, hard, and lush grass—it’s the largest public tennis centre in the UK, and the quality shows . The gym, sauna, and café also get consistent praise. But the real magic happens during the Nottingham Open. Having worked on‑court as a ball‑boy during the grass‑court tournament—itself a warm‑up to Wimbledon—the whole experience was electric. The grounds team maintains pristine grass courts that have even been recognized as superior to Wimbledon’s by national turf experts . Other spectators often note the tournament’s “more intimate environment” and “relaxed, family‑friendly feel” . As someone right in the middle of the action, I can confirm the organisers are brilliantly efficient, matches run smoothly, and the atmosphere is full of energy without being overwhelming. Off‑tournament season, you’ll find the centre buzzing with community spirit: social tennis sessions, disability‑inclusive coaching, youth events, and accessible drop‑in play for all skill levels . The staff’s dedication to member and public satisfaction was even nationally awarded—not once but multiple times—for customer service and grounds care . Bottom line: Nottingham Tennis Centre offers top-tier facilities, a warm community atmosphere, and professional-level tournament experiences. Whether you're playing casually, training, or supporting on‑court during the Nottingham Open like I did, it’s a special place that lives up to its reputation. Highly recommended!

Great facilities and an ideal place to watch tennis. Easy to get to as there are tram stops and bus stops next to the centre. For drivers there is a car park. There are multiple tennis courts and facilities for paddle tennis. Toilets and catering on site.
