Personal best investment since March 2009 isn't stocks or property—it's my membership at David Lloyd. Why? It's a sanctuary for mindset and wellbeing. You're surrounded by like-minded people whose priority is health for themselves and their families. No ego, no pressure to prove anything. Just a community that's respectful, caring, and all about thriving. What you get: Unbeatable Variety: From racquet sports to swimming, cycling, weights, aqua classes, or just melting stress in one of the best SPAs in the country. Standards are Elite: Facilities and coaching are simply top-tier. Space for Everyone: The club lounge perfectly accommodates noisy kids and adults needing a quiet business focus. A note: This isn't for the casual dabbler. It's a commitment to your wellbeing. And for that, it's worth every penny. If you're serious about your lifestyle, walk in. If not, walk away...

I have been a member of DL North Manchester for around 20 years and have always and still am really enjoying the club. It’s the best club with the best facilities in North Manchester by a mile (in my opinion) and most of the staff are great. My family and I have made many friends here over the years. However, The club have now replaced many of the indoor tennis courts with padel courts, which would be great if it was possible to book one and enjoy playing padel. ( which it is not). It is now becoming virtually impossible to use many of its facilities. Booking a tennis court is often impossible and forget booking padel as there is no chance unless you join some of the WhatsApp groups now that have appeared online. To make things worse, the new padel courts are open to members from other DL clubs, meaning now hundreds more people who are not members of North Manchester) are now using our clubs facilities ( namely the padel courts). This is not only really unfair to our members, it is also causing serious health and safety concerns. The club is now overcrowded at peak times and also non peak times. You can’t swing a cat in the changing rooms they are that overcrowded now , the car park is mostly constantly full and it seems that the club is understaffed in many areas Allowing access to even more people will only increase the risks. Tennis members will struggle even more to find a court, padel players will face overwhelming demand for limited spaces, and all members will be left dealing with unsafe overcrowding and growing frustrations. Many members feel exactly the same way as I do- so my review is not just my own opinion When all these concerns are put to the management team at NM- it all falls on deaf ears and we are told there is nothing that can be done as it is company policy. SO - can someone at the clubs policy decision making level ( directors or otherwise) please have the decency, courtesy and respect for your members to FIND A SOLUTION It also wouldn’t do any harm to call a meeting for all interested club members to discuss all the above to try to address the issues and at least appear to genuinely care

I try to get to as many of Dean Stanley's classes as possible. They vary from Bodypump,Strong Core and Spin classes. He is a brilliant instructor and takes into consideration differing fitness abilities of each person. He generally has 3/4 levels of advancement and so you choose your ability throughout the class. The classes are fun but you certainly work hard. His music choice suits all tastes and is a bonus.
